Today, Sukhvinder Kaur is a multi-award-winning qualified integrative counsellor and passionate advocate for mental health, dedicating her professional and personal life to supporting people experiencing loneliness, isolation, and emotional challenges.
Her journey is rooted in compassion and lived experience. Having personally experienced periods of isolation, low self-esteem, and emotional difficulty during her adult life, Sukhvinder understands how challenging it can be to recognize the need for support and take the first steps toward positive change. Those experiences ultimately strengthened her determination to help others find the support and confidence they need to move forward.
Sukhvinder works as an integrative counsellor with adults, bringing together her counselling and coaching knowledge with years of experience supporting people from diverse backgrounds. Her approach is centered on listening without judgment, understanding individual circumstances, and helping people explore practical strategies that can contribute to greater emotional well-being and confidence.

Her commitment to helping others extends well beyond her professional counselling work. Sukhvinder has more than 10 years of experience as a volunteer befriender with Imago Community in Southeast Kent, supporting adults aged 18 and over who may be experiencing loneliness and isolation. Her contribution to the organization and the people she has supported has been recognized through an award celebrating her dedicated service.
In addition to her community volunteering, Sukhvinder is also an NHS hospital volunteer, supporting patients within hospital ward settings. Her volunteering includes spending time with patients experiencing dementia and mental health challenges, offering companionship, kindness, and human connection during periods when people may feel particularly vulnerable or isolated.
This combination of professional counselling and frontline volunteering has given Sukhvinder valuable insight into the many different forms loneliness and emotional isolation can take. Whether someone is living independently in the community or receiving care within a hospital environment, she believes that being heard, understood, and treated with compassion can make an important difference.

Her more than 20 years of experience in the retail industry, particularly in customer service, also played an important role in developing the communication and interpersonal skills that now support her counselling practice. Over the years, she has learned the importance of listening carefully, communicating clearly, and creating an environment where people feel comfortable expressing themselves.
Sukhvinder’s mission is particularly focused on helping people experiencing physical, mental, or emotional difficulties identify appropriate sources of support. Where necessary, she encourages individuals to connect with charitable organizations, health services, and other forms of professional or community assistance.
Her passion for mental health advocacy and Author of the first ever self-help book THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL OF LONELINESS. In her book, Sukhvinder shares the experiences, lessons, skills, and strategies that have helped her better understand and manage feelings of loneliness. Her aim is to provide readers with practical ideas, supportive resources, and encouragement to help them develop greater confidence and connection.
Rather than presenting loneliness as something people simply have to accept, Sukhvinder encourages readers to understand their emotions and discover constructive ways to create greater peace and contentment in their lives.

The book is available in English and Punjabi, allowing her message to reach a wider audience across England and internationally through Amazon. Importantly, all money raised from book sales is being donated to mental health charities, further extending the impact of her work beyond her own counselling and advocacy.
For Sukhvinder, helping others is not simply a professional responsibility—it is a purpose. Her counselling practice, community volunteering, NHS hospital volunteering, writing, and mental health advocacy are all connected by the same belief: no one should have to face loneliness or emotional struggles without support.
Her work demonstrates how personal experiences can become a source of compassion and positive action. By sharing her knowledge, volunteering her time, and encouraging people to seek appropriate support, Sukhvinder Kaur continues to help individuals become stronger, more self-aware, and more proactive in creating meaningful change in their lives.
Today, as a multi-award-winning qualified integrative counsellor and mental health advocate, Sukhvinder continues to dedicate herself to a mission built on empathy, service, and connection—helping people feel heard, supported, and empowered to build happier and more fulfilling lives.
